Burcu Darst Begins Assistant Professor Position, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center

Burcu Darst, a former CIBM predoctoral trainee, started an assistant professorship in the Public Health Science Division, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center December 2021 and in the Department of Epidemiology, University of Washington. Her research aims to identify and understand genetic and multi-omic risk factors of prostate cancer in diverse populations, Among her recent awards are a Prostrate Cancer Foundation Young Investigator Award (2021), an AACR NextGen Star award (2021), and an NCI K99 award (2020-2025).
